pop3 server mailet/matcher

Hi all,
I would like to ask if it is possible to write logic that gets executed
when a user tries to get mail via POP3 server, before accessing maildirs
and doing POP3 AUTH? For example as soon as the connection to the POP3
is made my script to take control of the AUTH procedure, then to provide
an abstract mailbox not necessarily related to the real ones.
