next version of cdh3 release

Hi, There:
I have been evaluating cdh3b3 for a while and noticed 2 major change:
1. the hadoop protocol layer is incompatible with cdh3b2, and data needs to be upgraded. same for hbase.
2. user hdfs and mapred are introduced to replace user hadoop.

I am wondering when the next cdh3 release will come out, and will it be compatible with cdh3b3 ? Since
cdh3b2 to b3 migration requires cluster down time , I want to minimize the down time as much as possible.
if next cdh3 is compatible with b3, I will upgrade to b3 first and then to next new release. otherwise I will
wait for next release .

By the way, I found cdh3b3's performance doubles that of cdh3b2 in both hadoop and hbase, and hbase stability
drastically improved. Nice job.

Jimmy.

Hey,

For reference, the "Cloudera lists" to which Arun refers can be found at
https://groups.google.com/a/cloudera.org/groups/dir. I'd recommend sending
this question to the CDH user list:
https://groups.google.com/a/cloudera.org/group/cdh-user.

Thanks,
Jeff

Please take CDH3 questions to Cloudera lists.
