[jira] [Commented] (KNOX-612) Make section links in docs easier to share

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KNOX-612?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=14974394#comment-14974394 ]

Zachary Blanco commented on KNOX-612:
-------------------------------------

I know this doesn't really solve the problem, but can't you just click the link at the top of the docs for the section you would like, and then just copy the URL once the web page takes you to that section? My web browser fills in the URL for the section (Everything after the "#") once I click on it (Chrome 46).

> The Apache Knox docs are very complete, and I am able to resolve many issues simply referring to is. In addition, every heading has a unique anchor id tag that allows direct linking. For instance, WebHDFS:
> However, obtaining the link with anchor for sharing with others is a cumbersome process. I highlight the heading I want, right-click > Inspect Element, expand header tag, copy the entire anchor tag, append-paste to the URL, then delete the anchor tag remnants to leave only the URL + #section
> It would be ideal if I could right-click any section header, or even a tiny "link" icon next to the header, and choose "copy link address" instead. This is a minor improvement request that would raise awareness that every section has an anchor tag (which I didn't discover for a while), and make life easier for those spreading the word about Knox.
