Partial support of space characters in Service Name
Summary: Partial support of space characters in Service Name
Product: Commons
Version: 1.0 Alpha
Platform: PC
OS/Version: Windows NT/2K
Status: NEW
Severity: Normal
Priority: Other
Component: Daemon
AssignedTo: commons-dev@jakarta.apache.org
ReportedBy: p_samson@yahoo.com
When you install a service, using this syntax:
tomcat.exe //IS//"Tomcat 5.0.14"
Everything looks fine, except that in the Windows service properties,
the "Path to executable" is:
tomcat.exe //RS//Tomcat 5.0.14
As the quotes are missing, only //RS//Tomcat is read, and this service
is not found.
If you manually add the quotes afterwards, the start can be achieved.
Workaround: Use only one word, such as Tomcat5014, until the bug is fixed.
