The latest patch switches to LLAP considering purely xmx headroom, assuming the caller takes care of non-xmx headroom that is needed due to JVM overhead/etc causing YARN kills. That headroom is configurable as either size or percentage, 5% by default. Tested on a cluster, works as expected.
