Re: [RESULT][VOTE] Graduate Apache Fluss (Incubating) as a Top Level Project

Posted by Dave Fisher <wa...@apache.org>.
Hi Yu Li,

Did you remember to commit your “pending change” in the Agenda Tool?

Currently, the resolution reads:

WHEREAS, the Board of Directors deems it to be in the best interests of the
Foundation and consistent with the Foundation's purpose to establish a Project
Management Committee charged with the creation and maintenance of open-source
software, for distribution at no charge to the public, related to
Establish the Apache Fluss project. The graduation vote has passed in
incubator:
https://lists.apache.org/thread/zy74g758qg2ymobgmncllvs2h93yy4d8.

…

RESOLVED, that the Apache Apache Fluss be and hereby is responsible for the
creation and maintenance of software related to Establish the Apache Fluss
project. The graduation vote has passed in incubator:

https://lists.apache.org/thread/zy74g758qg2ymobgmncllvs2h93yy4d8
; and be it
further

…

This construction is simply incorrect:

1. The purpose of Fluss is not to establish Fluss. What does Fluss provide?
2. The graduation vote is not relevant and I’ve never seen it in a resolution.
3. The final clause discharging the Incubator is missing.
