[jira] [Closed] (ROL-2035) Auto fill in User data for logged in users in comments

Glen Mazza closed ROL-2035.
---------------------------

    Resolution: Not a Problem

There is no correlation--nor will we be bringing in any--between a commenter and an owner of a blog. We go that route, that would generate 40 other JIRAs once problems occurred, dragging down the project.

Removing the math question would allow a spammer to answer one question, then auto-generate 1000 more comments, flooding the system.

> Auto fill in User data for logged in users in comments
> ------------------------------------------------------
>
> Key: ROL-2035
> URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/ROL-2035
> Project: Apache Roller
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Components: Comments
> Affects Versions: 5.1
> Reporter: Jürgen Weber
> Assignee: Roller Unassigned
>
> For logged-in users Roller knows name and email. So the corresponding fields in comments should be auto-filled and maybe even non-editable.
> Also the "Please answer this simple math question" should be gone for logged-in users.
