Why is this tag using 1.1.0 for its version, but the version of the  
pom is 1.1?

The versions in the tags should be *identical* to the version of the  
pom.

We need to stop doing these types of things by hand, as each new  
iteration tends to get its own wrinkles like this, depending on who  
does the release or which docs they followed.  We really need to be  
more consistent with all of our releases...
