Opening an excel file that is password protected

Is there a way to open an excel file that has been password protected. I no longer have Excel so I can't remove the password that way. When I try to open the file in Spreadsheet it opens up a filter selection box. I have chosen several of the excel formats but nothing seems to work.

Thanks
John Jaworski

Oh, that's easy.
Send the file to a trusted friend and have him/her unravel it for you.
