NPE when aborting a transaction

I had a valid SQL exception, which triggered a chain of code, to a point
where I'm aborting the transaction in progress.  This generated an NPE.  I
don't have time to dig in any deeper right now, but I thought someone else
might like to know about it....

java.lang.NullPointerException
    at
org.apache.ojb.odmg.TransactionImpl.doClose(TransactionImpl.java:382)
    at org.apache.ojb.odmg.TransactionImpl.abort(TransactionImpl.java:615)
