Towards 0.6 - remaining open issues

Hi all,

as mentioned earlier on this list and others we have quite some improvements to 
ship for a next release that users should finally get their hands on. Several 
people seem to be working on trunk already to get some of these. Given the 
current uptick in work and time being dedicated to Mahout what do you think of 
cutting a release that brings all this new stuff out to users as a Christmas (or 
"after-Christmas") present?

<- given I made no error setting up the JIRA issue search request there are 21 
issues left for the 0.6 release.


Given the amount of time that usually goes into downloading, unpacking, checking 
and testing the release candidates (several issues seem to pop up and get looked 
at only when there is an RC out there) I would like to invite any user who is 
currently considering an upgrade or would love to know what to expect to 
activily take part in the release process, download, check and test the next 
release for your environment.
