   To implement a graceful shutdown of the proxy, reverse destruction of resources does not suffice.  An dedicated API, similar to Kubernetes [container lifecycle hooks](https://kubernetes.io/docs/concepts/containers/container-lifecycle-hooks/) should be exposed.
