They should have a small gray line at one side. The embossed effect becomes
visible, when you use a background of the same color; same as the white
embossed characters only look as "embossed" when shown in front of a white
background.
So I would saw, works as designed.
You might come up with a proposal, how to make it better look like "embossed".

Embossed effect doesn't show any different than character without such effect.

the embossed effect is not obvious after set font color,but no a defect,so
change its type from defect to enhancement.
