problem with tomcat3.1 acting as a add-on of apache http server

Hello Tomcat-user,

 I installed apache tomcat3.1, it works fine in standalone
 mode,but when i use it as a addon of apache http server,it
 becomes out of control--when i hit the refresh button in the
 browser,somttimes there is no display in the browser window.
 My environment:
 Sco OSR5.0.4
 Apache1.3.12
 Tomcat3.1
