[~au_miner] Thanks for your contribution! The root cause is the test harness `OneInputStreamOperatorTestHarness` is not well implemented with async state. Please use `AsyncKeyedOneInputStreamOperatorTestHarness` instead, when you are testing the async state.

And the PR you mentioned perform a important [fix](https://github.com/apache/flink/pull/25815/files#diff-885dd1cb87987c93b79ac6da39deeb53d5a09dc434196031d4c53e60b18e88e3L57-R66) on `TwoInputStreamOperatorTestHarness`. That's why it runs well.

Please try `AsyncKeyedOneInputStreamOperatorTestHarness`, we will use that harness for all async state operators in future.
