PROPFIND error

Hello,
I added from the command line a java file in a debian system. When I
commit the change I get the following error:

Adding analysis/UserTimeEvolutionAnalysisDatasetProducer.java
svn: Commit failed (details follow):
svn: PROPFIND request failed on
'/tiwix/trunk/analysis/UserTimeEvolutionAnalysisDatasetProducer.java'
svn:
Could not open the requested SVN filesystem

What could it be?
Thank you
Massimo

Okay my problem with the svn:// protocol appears to have been me all along!

It was a case of ITFM, as in Ignore The F*cking Manual :-)

I was running the server through xinted but did not include the -i flag.

So whilst I do not know if this would fix the http:// protocol, I assume it
does, I no longer need the http:// protocol so ...

So all is well and I apologise for being frustrated with the project. I am
looking forward to working with subversion and gain the benefits it has over
cvs.

Thanks for all help,
Pep.

PROPFIND error (Mthod not allowed)

Posted by Pep <pe...@ticketweb.co.uk>.
Having major problems trying to get the svn:// protocol working I decided to
try the http:// protocol.

And I still get problems, the following message occurs whether I use the
command on the subversion server or from a remote client

svn: PROPFIND of '/usr/local/subversion/trunk/projectx': 405 Method Not
Allowed (http://192.168.106.2)

Yet I can browse the subverion repository using a web browser!

So what gives?

Subversion is useless for me if I can only use the file:// protocol.

How do I get subversion to work for remote maintenance?

Cheers,
Pep.

Please help me maintain a subversion project remotely.

I cannot access my subversion repository via the http:// or svn:// protocols.

The only way I can access the repository is via the file:// protocol.

I need to allow a number of developers to access the subversion repository
remotely.

Please can someone tell me why this does not work or do I really have to go
back to using cvs?

Cheers,
Pep.
