[jira] [Commented] (CB-3161) Tooling to match existing CLI

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CB-3161?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=13646818#comment-13646818 ]

Lorin Beer commented on CB-3161:
--------------------------------

this issues should be resolved, but will not block migration

1. create script
node dependency should be hidden from view, with automatic configuration of node script sub-dependencies. List discussion will determine form this takes.
tl;dr ./create should just work, with no additional steps

2. project build
current bb10 implementation requires configuration of a bash file before cordova tooling can work. A more elegant solution would be configuration of a config.json file, parsed by node implementation of build tools.
CLI for configuration can continue to exist, but should be an optional access point to config the project.
tl;dr ./cordova/build should just work

documentation for the above required. ./cordova/build poorly informs the user concerning how to build projects, and what values are required to define a target. This needs to be documented externally, but also needs better -help style documentation.

> Existing tooling, such as create scripts, diverge in behaviour from existing Cordova tooling, which has the goal of being identical across platforms.
> Exact divergence to be documented.
