site upgrade...

Should we publish the 2.0 in less than ten years, it'd be great to
upgrade not only the site content, but also its design (quite outdated)
and building tool (ditto). Many apache projects are migrating towards
the ASF CMS [1], and why not follow the flow?

Sounds like you're not alone in this case, but there's no one or nothing
to blame, c'est la vie... If Java does still exist in a quarter century,
and so does Velocity, you'll be happy to help to keep your retirement
busy between a fishing party and a visit from your grandchildren!

Sounds good to me.

I can't really help much though. The sad reality is that while i still have
a great big soft spot for Velocity, and i'm willing to chime in here and
there, i don't have the time to do any notable work. My employer no longer
uses server-side templating at all, so i can't hack Velocity on work time,
and my personal time is happily devoted to my four kids. I used to have
time for Velocity both at work and home, now, not so much.
