Pb Windows 2000

We have some pb with a server:  

Windows 2000 SP4 
Cocoon 2.1.3 
Apache 1.3.29 
MySQL 4.0.17 
PHP 4.3.4 

Cocoon stops running sometimes (just the cocoon part, the part with the
HTML and of the php continue to function normally) and I have to reboot
the server to run cocoon again.  I have noticed that it happens more
often after I upload elements via ftp on the server or after an idle
period.  Thank you for your assistance.
