Thanks for the work on this!  As I had a need for the same thing (use SolrJ in a Maven based project), it was a happy moment to see someone else had done the basic work for me :-).  To pay back favor for favor, I've added a third POM for the DataImportHandler jar (only needed until DIH is included in the common jar), and a shell script (solr2mvn.sh) that will install all three artifacts for you.  See the comments at the beginning of the script for setup and execution instructions.
