spreadsheet locked documents

I can’t seem to copy and paste so snapped a photo of the documents. All locked, and I can’t get them to open. Not sure how they got locked in the first place. When it says open with, Open Office doesn’t show up.

I have 4.1.2

Had a spreadsheet all made up, was fine, but I added a new column on the 10th, and the squares were all outlined in red. If I placed the arrow on one, info popped up. I can’t make them go away, and actually, not sure what I did, but all the info is gone. When I track down the document this is what I see, and I can’t get it to open.

The red outlines are how changed cells are indicated when you have 
the recording of changes switched on. Any cell you modify - which 
includes entering data or adding new columns or rows - will be edged 
in red. In addition, what is effectively a comment is added to the 
cell or cell range, showing details of the change, along with the 
date and time that it was made and identification of the user who made it.

The idea is that you (or another user) can later go to Edit | 
Changes > | Accept or Reject... and selectively keep or discard these 
changes. But since you have somehow toggled on the recording of 
changes by mistake, you need simply to go to Edit | Changes > | 
Record to remove the tick, and then to acknowledge the warning shown. 
Note that information about changes is lost as are the red edgings, 
but the changes themselves - all your work - are preserved.
