installation problems on RedHat 6.0
Hi,
I'm having problems installing mod_perl on an Intel RedHat 6.0 system, with
Apache 1.3.12 installed and working.
I downloaded and unpacked apache src into /usr/src/apache_1.3.12/src
Here are my steps using cpan:
- "install Bundle::Apache" which was successful
- "install mod_perl", specifying the correct apache src and to make httpd in
that src dir. This failed upon testing.
- "force install mod_perl" reports success.
- I then copy /usr/src/apache_1.3.12/src/httpd into /etc/httpd/bin, making a
symlink for /usr/local/apache -> /etc/httpd
- /usr/local/apache/bin/httpd start returns an error:
Syntax error on line 168 of /usr/local/apache/conf/httpd.conf:
Invalid command 'LoadModule', perhaps mis-spelled or
defined by a module not included in the server configuration
--yet /usr/local/apache/modules exists as before!
I also tried installing mod_perl using Stas' Guide with the same results.
Please help.
Thank you.
Regards,
Ilia Lobsanov.
