Thanks, Devaraj, looks pretty good to me as well.  I agree with [~qwertymaniac] that mapreduce.input.fileinputformat.input.dir.recursive is more descriptive/accurate, can we also change the getter/setter functions to match?  They still refer to reading recursively -- something like get/setInputDirRecursive would be better.

Also one minor nit: there's a double semicolon after the call to {{getReadFilesRecursively}}.
