[Bug 58290] New: Provide way to access jmeter-server via HTTP calls (ReSTfull if possible)

https://bz.apache.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=58290

            Bug ID: 58290
Summary: Provide way to access jmeter-server via HTTP calls
                    (ReSTfull if possible)
           Product: JMeter
           Version: unspecified
          Hardware: PC
                OS: Linux
            Status: NEW
          Severity: normal
          Priority: P2
         Component: Main
          Assignee: issues@jmeter.apache.org
          Reporter: arthur.lutz@logilab.fr

>From what I understand of the documentation, the only way so far of runnning a
job on a jmeter-server is to use the jmeter GUI or via some java code (RMI). It
would be awesome to be able to access the jmeter-server via some HTTP calls.

This would open up a great number of scenarios with the backing power of
jmeter.

If any projects like this exit, please point me in the right direction. If this
could be directly in jmeter-server it would be great.
