After spending an entire day trying to figure out why my app was crashing at launch after updating to Phonegap CLI 9.0.0, I realised it was this splashscreen plugin causing the issue. I was testing on a Samsung Galaxy S5 and the splashscreen was working perfectly before adding `<preference name="phonegap-version" value="cli-9.0.0" />` to the config.xml file.
