[VFS] what more is there to do before release?

Hi Mario,

I'm wondering what still needs to be done before VFS is released?  Are there any
issues being investigated?  New features being considered?  Waiting for updated
releases of libraries to ship with VFS (HTTPClient 3.0 final, maybe)?

I guess what I'm getting at is, if there is nothing more to be done, why not
release VFS 1.0 and get on with 1.1 development?

VFS needs to compile with jdk1.3, currently this is not possible as 
commons-net 1.4 was built using jdk1.4 as target.
I hoped that there will be a commons-net patch release soon, but it 
looks like they are very busy.

There is a workaround, but then you need jdk1.3 & jdk1.4 if you would 
like to build VFS yourself - thats odd.

Lets wait a couple of days.
The vote for a [net] release passed. I still hope they find some time to 
cut the release.
