When was the first version of Tomcat available with version of JS P and servlet?

Hi,

Can anyone tell me when(month and year) was the first version of Tomcat
available for apache or IIS?. Which version of JSP and Servlet API were
supported at that time?.

Were people using Jserv to support versions prior to jsp 1.1 and servlet
2.2? In that case when was that available first?

i would appreciate any help on this
