java.lang.NoSuchMethodError
I have struggled all the way to come to this place. I am not good at Java so
guys can you help me with this problem. I am putting down all things I have
done till now, if something more needed I can send to you.
problem is:
-------------
D:\apache\soap-2_1\samples\addressbook>java
org.apache.soap.server.ServiceManagerClient
http://localhost:70/soap/servlet/rpcrouter deploy DeploymentDescriptor.xml
Ouch, the call failed:
Fault Code = SOAP-ENV:Server.Exception:
Fault String = java.lang.NoSuchMethodError
-------------
whatever setup I use I am stuck with the above problem, so I guess I am
missing something which is common to servlets,am I ?
more information about my setup
soap setups used:
soap 2.1, xerces 1.2.3, Tomcat 3.2.1, jdk 1.3.00.2, javamail 1.2,java
activation 1.01
soap 2.0, xerces 1.2.1, Tomcat 3.2.1, jdk 1.3.00.2, javamail 1.2,java
activation 1.01
soap 2.1, xerces 1.2.1, Tomcat 3.2.1, jdk 1.3.00.2, javamail 1.2,java
activation 1.01
soap 2.1, xerces 1.2.3, JRUN 3.0, jdk 1.3.00.2, javamail 1.2,java activation
1.01
classpath in the system environment:
CLASSPATH=d:\apache\xerces-1_2_3\xerces.jar;d:\apache\soap-2_1\lib\soap.jar;
d:\javafiles\mail.jar;d:
\javafiles\activation.jar;d:\apache\soap-2_1;d:\apache\soap-2_1\samples\Demo

in tomcat server.xml :
<Context path="/soap"
docBase="d:\apache\soap-2_1\webapps\soap"
debug="1" reloadable="true">
</Context>
in JRUN : same as system classpath with JRUN specified classpath
my SOAP setup on both TOMCAT and JRUN was okay as described in the SOAP 2.1
Installation guide help.
before I was getting "SOAP-ENV:Client" exception after using Xerces 1.2.3 or
1.2.1 instead of 1.3.1 that problem got solved.
I used the sample from http://www.xmethods.com/detail.html?id=5 and it
worked fine so I assume my client setup is okay.
the same sample I used for localhost servlet it gave the same exception (I
did as explained in the sample
http://www-106.ibm.com/developerworks/library/ws-peer2/?dwzone=ws#resources)
.
