This pull-request improves the existing github-workflows:
- enhances modularity by encapsulating a common operation into a reusable action for easier maintenance
- avoids duplicating the same cleanup logic across multiple jobs

It will not work. The problem is that the repository code is checked out in the next step so the composite action is not available when you try to run it.
