Preventing 2 users executing specific sampler at the same time

Hi All,
I am creating script with 10 threads.
our system contains "locking" mechanism. this means that when 1 user is
executing a specific step, all other users can't do the same.
Hence, I need to prevent 2 (or more) users from executing the specific step
at the same time. In other words, I would like to make sure that the sample
request will be executed only be 1 thread, while next user will "wait" till
the first user will complete its step.

I hope I am clear enough :)

does anyone know how to do so?

Thanks,
Dan.
