[jira] [Commented] (OAK-5101) Enable prefiltering for for external
changes

Chetan Mehrotra commented on OAK-5101:
--------------------------------------
One possible approach can be
# DocumentNodeStore should build up a {{ChangeSet}} from all the local commit it receives between consecutive background write cycles
# Persist the {{ChangeSet}} as part of Journal entry as part of background write
# Upon Background read it prepares a sum of all the {{ChangeSet}} from the journal entry it reads (from other cluster nodes)
# Populates a {{CommitInfo}} with this accumulated {{ChangeSet}}. (This requires OAK-4898)

> With OAK-4796 its possible to prefilter an event change and avoid performing the diff if it can be determined that there is nothing of interest for the given listener. Currently this works for local changes.
> We should extend this support for external changes as those are more expensive to compute
