[Meeting Note] Apache HertzBeat(Incubating) Open And Governance Meeting
Hi Community, here are the meeting minutes of our community meeting.
The meeting is for anyone wanting to get involved in the HertzBeat dev,
doc, ideas or discuss.
Time: 9:00 PM on the third Friday of each month.
Mode: Online Tencent Video Conference
Purpose: Building Open And Governance Community

I’m sure that a recording of this would be helpful to a wider audience if it were posted to the mailing list.

Hi Justin,
Sorry for confusion. The meeting does not contain any decisions and only for learn and communicate. OSPP is summer opensource promotion plan that supports students to participate in open source, like google summer code. We introduced the topic of hertzbeat during the meeting. We have published this topic on the official website and issues. This topic started before hertzbeat joined the apache incubator, it is indeed an oversight on our part to not publish it to the mailing list. We will publish it on the mailing list later.
"Show how to verify hertzbeat dev release” here during the meering, we demonstrated how to download and install the tool and explained the verification process, because someone encountered confusion about installation and steps during verification.
Sorry there is no meeting record video. I will add more detailed meeting minutes later.
About "Governance Meeting.”, how about changing its name to "Learning and Communication Meeting"? Our purpose is to learn and contact.

HI,
While it is great that this was brought back to the list, there are not enough details here for anyone not at the meeting to know what is going on. For instance, what is the OSPP project? "Show how to verify hertzbeat dev release” is something for the mailing list, not an offline meeting. Was this meeting recorded so I can watch it somewhere? Is there a transcript of the meetng? I’m also concerned about the meeting's name: "Governance Meeting.” Anything related to governance must be discussed on the mailing lists and not in an offline meeting.

- Discuss about hertzbeat and ai, we thought about what hertzbeat can do with ai. Someone talked about using ai to give solution suggestions based on hertzbeat's alarm information. Some people talked about using llm to automatically generate monitoring template YML based on user prompt information. If they confirm their interest, they will send an email to discuss and create an issue.
### Community Development Discussion
- discuss the monitor detail ui and the grafana ui, someone pointed out that the current monitoring details page is very rough compared with grafana ui. In fact, our grafana integration features have been developed and will be merged later.
### Releases
- preparing for release v1.6.0-rc3, the first two rc versions were canceled due to license and other issues. Next, we will spend time and work hard to ensure the quality of rc3 version.
### Ideas, Q&A
- Q&A dev and publish branch is master, intorduce the milestones. Someone asked which branch the release version would be checked out from, and we told him that it would be checked out from master, and introduced the project milestones in github. https://github.com/apache/hertzbeat/milestones
- discuss about the monitoring auto report, someone has proposed an idea for the new function of auto monitoring report. If he confirms that he is interested, he will send an email to discuss and create an issue.
- discuss about the llm with hertzbeat alarm and template yml auto generate by ai. Someone talked about using ai to give solution suggestions based on hertzbeat's alarm information. Some people talked about using llm to automatically generate monitoring template YML based on user prompt information. If they confirm their interest, they will send an email to discuss and create an issue.
- Q&A the incubation time. Someone raised question about our graduation time. We can’t answer this, we have just entered the incubator at a very early stage.
- Q&A where the good first issue. Someone is wondering where to find suitable contribution tasks. There are currently few issues that can be contributed. Because the focus recently has been on version release, we have not opened up large features. It is recommended that you find the task that suits you in the github issue with the tag "good first issue" to claim it.
- Q&A when publish the new version. Someone asked when the new version will be released. This time cannot be determined, we are in the release process.
