[jira] [Commented] (KUDU-1800) krb5_realm_override is broken on
SLES 12 SP0
[ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/KUDU-1800?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15840353#comment-15840353 ]
Todd Lipcon commented on KUDU-1800:
-----------------------------------
[~danburkert] did we ever get to the bottom of this one? Is this a blocker for us supporting SLES12 with security? (if we can't run the tests that's concerning). It looks like SLES12 has krb5-1.12 which doesn't need this krb5_realm_override workaround, so perhaps we could somehow detect the krb5 version and skip it?

> In krb5_realm_override on vanilla SLES 12, the dlsym call for "krb5_get_host_realm" is returning null. dlerror() is returning an empty string. nm shows that libkrb5.so does include that symbol.
