Open database at run time with ODMG

I am using OJB 0.9.7, and I would like to be able to set
jdbc-connection-descriptor attributes at run time, so I don't have to
rely on the repository.xml. In the FAQ, it has a example for this
scenario, but only for PB API. And I can't find a way with ODMG API. 

Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
