Need Heeeelp
Hello,
Like yesterday got a new 500 Error.
Where can possibly cause these errors?
Because if one of my repository failed each day it's going to be hard
to work.
my svn version is 1.0.1 for the server.
Every thing works fine till yesterday.
If i verify the rep got this error:
...
* Verified revision 115.
svn: Berkeley DB error while closing environment for filesystem JSModules/db:
DB_RUNRECOVERY: Fatal error, run database recovery
And it i try to recover got this answer:
/usr/local/subversion/bin/svnadmin recover JSModules
Please wait; recovering the repository may take some time...
svn: DB_RUNRECOVERY: Fatal error, run database recovery
in the Apache log i got:

Thanks.

I'd be +1. Then we avoid the issue of whether or not the person has
the berkeley utils installed, or of invoking the wrong ones if they
have multiple versions installed, etc.

Once all those 1.0 installs out there disappear, there will be no need to
recommend db_recover to give more detailed errors. db_recover will then only
be relevant for running Berkeley catastrophic recovery. Which makes me
think... maybe we should make svnadmin capable of doing that too?
Max.

Have you tried running the BerkeleyDB 'db_recover' utility instead?
I'm surprised our FAQ doesn't talk about this, actually. See
http://www.sleepycat.com/docs/utility/db_recover.html, and make sure
to shut off all access to the repository before running it. You
should run it as root, or as a user with complete write access to the
repository's db/ subdirectory.
