jackrabbit behavior on damaged repository

Hi,

I have the following problem. I am using Jackrabbit with Filestorage. When
i remove my local Folder of the Filestorage the jackrabbit still works
without any error, but nothing is written on the disk anymore. Is there any
posibility to disalbe all memory caches to throw errors if the repository
becomes corrupted?
