H/W: AMD Athlon 64x2 Dual
     Core Processor 4200+
     2.20 GHz, 2.87 GB of RAM
OS: Windows XP Media Center Edition 2002, Service Pack 2
APP: Apache 2.2.4, PHP 5.2.4
Test: test.php (see attachment)

Exactly the same configuration works fine for another computer which is an 
Intel laptop. Does it matter which CPU I use for apache or php module?

Error msg:
- "Apache HTTP Server has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are 
sorry for the inconvenience."
- "Error signature
   szAppName: httpd.exe  szAppver: 2.2.4.0  szModName: php5ts.dll
   szModVer: 5.2.4.4  offset: 00099dfd"
- core dump as attached

Yeah, you got it. I just took a look at the error.log file. The problem is 
that I can not install php into folder "C:\Program Files\...". The space here 
broke the php library dependency. Install to "C:\php5" is fine.

I am not a windows guy, but the two lines above seem to give the hint that the
crash happens inside of PHP. I might be better to open a report at
http://bugs.php.net/.
