> Based on the implementation of HBASE-12028, it may be necessary to detect when an older RpcSchedulerFactory (i.e. without the create method is in use in Phoenix) so that we can error out if the newer RpcSchedulerFactory is required by the HBase server. This can be done in ConnectionQueryServicesImpl.checkClientServerCompatibility() which returns from the server both the Phoenix and HBase versions. We'd also want to document this incompatibility.
