Stopping, Restarting OJB
Is it possible to completely "close" OJB and all of it's parts and re-open
it fresh without unloading all the classes somehow? If so, can you point
me in the right direction?

Currently not completely.

You could use
PersistenceBrokerFactory.releaseAllInstances()
but this only releases the PB pool and all dependend
objects (sequence manager insrances, connection pool instances).
But it does not induce OJB to re-read the configuration files
(I think).
