The task is to confirm the "Check for Updates" operation is working. Comments
and attachments provide the necessary information.
There are three tests:
1. Whether an update check and indication there is a new version happens
automatically. (You may need to set Tools | Options | Online Update to Daily
and try the next day.
2. Whether the Help | Check for Updates dialog comes up and reports that 4.1.2
is in use and 4.1.3 is available.
3. Confirm that the Download button goes to the OpenOffice.org download page
and the correct platform and language are selected (although 4.1.1 remains the
latest available).

Confirmation that Correct Download options reached
Demonstration that clicking the "Download" button on the successful check
dialog has the correct download-choice settings.
(Hmm, browser sniffing might not be the same as being told the settings of AOO
at the time the download is requested. Hmmm ... )

Confirmed for Windows 7, 32 bit. I get the answer, "OpenOffice 4.1.3 is
available. The installed version is OpenOffice 4.1.2."

This task was against the 4.1.2 rc to ensure that check-for-updates would
respond properly once there was a version (i.e., 4.1.3) available.
The period for the task has ended. Other responses were on the dev@ list.
(Oddly, there is no way to "resolve" tasks in a meaningful way.)

Confirmation of Windows 10 "Check for Updates"
CONFIRMATION FOR WINDOWS 10
Test item 2 is successful with Windows 10 Pro x64 running as a guest in a
Hyper-V VM running on a Windows 10 Pro x64 Host.
Test item 3 is successful.
Because 2 was already done, Test Item 1 could not be confirmed. It can be
checked on the next day.
