Know about Xapian-features

Hi,

just stumbled across this:
http://www.xapian.org/features.php

Has anybody yet taken a look at this? How far are they? And could maybe 
some basic ideas including Ranked probablistic search or stemming for 
various languages be useful to somehow transfer to nutch/Lucene (Java)?
