[jira] [Created] (CB-3515) Cookies when using emulator / ripple
Chris Schaub created CB-3515:
--------------------------------
Summary: Cookies when using emulator / ripple
Key: CB-3515
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CB-3515
Project: Apache Cordova
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: CLI
Affects Versions: 2.7.0
Environment: OSX, Cordova-cli, npm, ripple
Reporter: Chris Schaub
Assignee: Filip Maj
Priority: Minor
When you are emulating a site in ripple with a proxy url like localhost:8000, cookies don't work. Things like php's stock auth cookie that many sites use on the backend to keep track of sessions. Just posting if there's a way to setup the proxy server to handle some of this, maybe just allowing the name to be set to something other than localhost might do the trick. I'm sure this can be worked around with apache and various proxy settings, but allowing the emulate to pass more settings like domain would allow for the browser to honor cookies when testing.
