[VOTE] 10.14.1.0 release

Please test-drive the 10.14.1.0 candidate, then vote on whether to
accept it as a Derby release. The candidate lives at:

   http://people.apache.org/~rhillegas/10.14.1.0/

The polls close at 5:00 pm San Francisco time on Wednesday, October 11.

10.14.1.0 is a feature release, described in greater detail here:
https://wiki.apache.org/db-derby/DerbyTenFourteenOneRelease

Thanks to everyone who contributed to this release.

Regards,
-Rick

I think that we verified the essential checklist items at
https://wiki.apache.org/db-derby/TenFourteenChecklist. The spectrum of
platform tests at
https://wiki.apache.org/db-derby/TenFourteenOnePlatformTesting disclosed
only one error: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/DERBY-6968. That
error appears to be a test instability and not a regression in product
behavior.

I am satisfied with 10.14.1.0.

+1

+1 from me too, from the documentation perspective. I have looked over
the documentation (user manuals and javadoc) and the release notes, and
they look fine.

+1

I have successfully used the release candidate with Java 8 on Windows 10,
Fedora 26, and Ubuntu 16.04 without any problems. I checked all the
signatures and checksums, worked with the documentation, checked a number
of bug fixes of interest to me, and ran the embedded scripts. I found no
problems.
