[jira] [Commented] (CAMEL-9589) Apache Artemis example with Camel

    [ https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CAMEL-9589?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin.system.issuetabpanels:comment-tabpanel&focusedCommentId=15848460#comment-15848460 ]

Jiri Danek commented on CAMEL-9589:
-----------------------------------

[~mcekovic] I believe you can already use Apache Felix/Karaf to run Artemis in an OSGi container (see ARTEMIS-325). You can then run Camel in the same OSGi container and create connections between the two using the efficient inVM connection/protocol. I haven't actually tried that, but I do not see obstacles to doing this.

As far as I know, ActiveMQ does it the same way, i.e. using Karaf for an OSGi container and running things inside the container.

> We should have an example that uses Camel with ActiveMQ Artemis as the broker. For example we have the widget-gadget that uses regular ActiveMQ. We could create an example with something similar or something else.
> The idea is to show Camel as a client connecting to a remote Artemis broker.
