I downloaded Xerces for C++ 1.7 twice today
(http://xml.apache.org/dist/xerces-c/stable/xerces-c-src1_7_0.tar.gz)

and got the same tar error after I gunzipped it and tried to extract the source
code:

tar: directory checksum error
