Review of patches XALANJ-2438 and XALANJ-2439 - No active project member anymore?

Hello Xalan-J developers and David,

I contributed two patches to the Xalan-J project in March 2008 and I
hopefully have fulfilled any requirements requested by comments to the
JIRA issues. But now there seems to be no active project member anymore
to review new versions of my patches. What can I do?

Please take a look at the following JIRA issues:

<http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/XALANJ-2438>
<http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/XALANJ-2439>

Best regards,

	Helge

Hello Henry,

some Oracle/Sun engineers are about to raise the priority of the
corresponding JDK bug 6689809 and JAXP issue 60 of XALANJ-2438. They try
to get my patch into the next Oracle JDK version. Therefore please check
and confirm my result first, that my patch do not alter any of the 1762
output files of the exhausting Xalan XSLT test suite. Please post your
results here or append it to any of the issue entries. Thanks!

Oracle/Sun has fixed 15 XSLT issues in the January 2010 release of JAXP
(Version 1.4.3). See:

<http://jaxp.dev.java.net/1.4/1.4.3/changelog.html>

Which of these issues are already fixed in the current Xalan-J
Subversion version? Has Oracle/Sun submitted patches for these issues to
the Xalan-J project?

There are also 25 tests in the JAXP test suite, which are failing with
the current Xalan-J Subversion version. So there seems to exists 25
additional XSLTC bug fixes applied to the JDK Xalan-J version (see
uploaded test result output in issue XALANJ-2438). Who is willing to
analyze the failing tests?

Regards, Helge

Let me give you a belated "Thank you" for your contributions, and my
apologies for the lack of action on submitted patches. I have been trying
the past few months to spend a little bit more time on this project than
I've been able to for the past couple of years - recent project pressures
at work have eased a bit. I do plan to look at your recent revised patch
for XALANJ-2438 - I should be able to make some time within the next two
weeks.

As for XALANJ-2439, I looked at your patch earlier this week, and it seems
reasonable, but I'm still a bit worried about it - I'm trying to see
whether I can come up with a scenario where it would release the DTM
representation of the result-tree fragment prematurely. Again, I will try
to act on this one within the next two weeks.

Thanks,

Henry
