code coverage with emma
hi all,
i added emma an opensource code-coverage tool (http://emma.sourceforge.net/) to
ojb 1.1. this tool can help to spot code not covered by our many testcases.
i choose emma because it can instrument the code 'on the fly' using a specila
classloader. classical instrumentation is also available.
to invoke it use the following ant targets after ojb has been compiled:
- coverage_pb to measure coverage of pb-api
- coverage_odmg to measure coverage of odmg-api
- coverage_otm to measure coverage of otm-api
each target initializes the test-database before running the AllTests
test-suite. the results of the coverage-analysis are written to coverage_pb-,
_odmg- or _otm-directory.
