mod_python bugs

Hi,

[this is a repost from a message that was sent to mod_python@modpython.org
yesterday. The message did not come through and I thought this forum was
more suitable.]

When trying out Apache 2/mod_python 3.0.1 for use with Draco, I think I have
found some bugs:

1. server.register_cleanup() fails with the error:

"first argument must be a Request object"

even when the first argument is a request object. I printed the object that
I passed and it is recognized as type "mp_request".

2. In the class "Callback", file apache.py, the variable "filter.dir" is
added to sys.path multiple times, but it can be "None". This gives
errors with parts of the Python standard library that expect only strings
in sys.path. One of the things that fails is RExec.

3. The attribute server.port is 0 always.

4. Accessing request.connection.local_addr segfaults the httpd.

Some of these are rather strange, so I don't want to exclude the possibility
that it is related to my nonstandard setup. I had to compile Python as a shared
library because apxs wouldn't build mod_python otherwise. It said something like
"Couldn't check dependencies of -lpython2.2, building static version of mod_python"

Greetings,
Geert Jansen
