[jira] [Created] (AVRO-1217) Calling set_meta on DataFileWriter
does not do anything (in python)
Philip Gladstone created AVRO-1217:
--------------------------------------
Summary: Calling set_meta on DataFileWriter does not do anything (in python)
Key: AVRO-1217
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AVRO-1217
Project: Avro
Issue Type: Bug
Components: python
Affects Versions: 1.7.2
Environment: Ubuntu 12.04
Reporter: Philip Gladstone
Fix For: 1.7.4
In the code:
writer = open(FILENAME, 'wb')
with datafile.DataFileWriter(writer, datum_writer, schema_object) as dfw:
dfw.set_meta('test.string', 'foo')
the call to set_meta does not actually cause the metadata to be written to the file.
