Need source for nightly struts-examples.war
I'm looking for the source code for the 1.3.0-dev struts-examples.war in the
nightly build area. (
http://svn.apache.org/builds/struts/maven/trunk/nightly/ )
I'm trying to step through the examples webapp in a debugger, and to do that
I need the source code that matches exactly. The trunk/nightly/struts-apps
directory only contains the .war files.
I think it would be good to include the source code under WEB-INF/src for
each webapp. This also makes the example self-contained, people who have
the example installed can make changes to the source code, compile it from
WEB-INF/src to WEB-INF/classes, reload, and see their changes. However,
I'll settle for it being available somewhere to download each night. :)
I'm looking at the various project.xml files and quite honestly have no idea
what to change. (I _finally_ got Ant figured out, so of course everybody
switched to Maven. I haven't caught up yet.) Help?

I don't think anyone is working on this right now, and so it could
wait for some time.
The best thing might be to focus on running and editing the
applications as they are checked out from the repository. You should
be able to update your working copy from repository and run the Maven
build to rebuild the application, without worrying about the state of
the nightly builds.

I have the entire project checked out of svn, but if any changes have been
committed, the source I'll have is potentially different from the .class
files in the nightly build. If so, the line numbers won't match up in the
debugger.
I know the apps aren't undergoing massive changes at the moment... it's more
the principle of the thing. The Maven nightlies do not seem to include the
source for the example apps, and IMO it ought to be there.
It can wait, I was just trying to get things working yesterday, and not
having much success.

If you check out
* https://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/struts/current
from Subversion, you'll get the current trunk of all the subprojects,
including Apps.
